A new comic book miniseries titled Stranger Things: Science Camp looks to answer some mysteries of Dustin’s summer at Camp Know Where, including how he got a girlfriend.
Here’s the promotional copy from Dark Horse for Stranger Things: Science Camp:
“Dustin arrives at Camp Know Where to navigate the new social hierarchy without the support of his Hawkins adventuring party. While also faced with nerdy bullies, a new menace haunts the young scientists and camp counselors. A mysterious figure with sinister intent arrives to disrupt the serene woodland scene. The solution won’t take rocket science, but Dustin will have to get on the same wavelength as the other campers before tensions reach a boiling point.”
ISSUE #1 VARIANT COVERS
Issue #1 is written by Jody Houser, penciled by Edgar Salazar, inked by Keith Champagne, and colored by Marissa Louise. The first issue has three covers to choose from (see below), illustrated by Viktor Kalvachev, Francisco Ruiz, and Kyle Lambert.
Lambert is primarily a movie poster illustrator. He created the iconic artwork for Stranger Things on Netflix.
The new comic book miniseries from Dark Horse arrives on magazine racks on September 30. For devoted fans of the Netflix sci-fi horror series, this will be the only Stranger Things content for a while. Season Four shooting went on hiatus earlier this year due to the COVID pandemic. And there’s no evidence they’ll be back to shooting any time soon as COVID outbreaks continue to grow in the United States.
Stranger Things: Science Camp #1 will be 32 pages and retail at $3.99.
