MANDALORIAN NEWS

The Mandalorian returns this fall on the Disney+ streaming service, most likely in October. We don’t know much about the second season of the popular Star Wars live TV show. From what we’ve gleaned so far from various posts and interviews by some members of The Mandalorian cast and crew is the show will likely focus on tracking down the homeworld or parents of the The Child (AKA Baby Yoda).

It has been confirmed that sci-fi action legend Micheal Biehn will appear in Season 2 as a bounty hunter. Since Lucasfilm and Disney are being as close-lipped as they were for the first season of The Mandalorian, that’s all we know about The Terminator and Aliens actor’s role in the upcoming season.

We also learned that Bill Burr will be returning as mercenary Mayfield. We’re interested to learn how he escaped his New Republic jailers.

Giancarlo Esposito, who plays the Star Wars series’ big bad, Moff Gideon, told the crowd at FAN EXPO Vancouver that the upcoming season promises “Major, major, epic, epic lightsaber action.”

AHSOKA IN SEASON 2?

The final piece of news is the biggest, yet unconfirmed speculation that Rosario Dawson will play Clone Wars character Ahsoka Tano. It’s not a big leap that the writer and director of The Mandalorian Dave Filoni would have Ahsoka cross over into the new series. He served as producer, writer, and supervising director for Star Wars: The Clone Wars, after all.

We’ll be sure to report more Mandalorian news as we get closer to the Season 2 premiere in October.
