Castlevania Season 3 Gets Release Date and Poster

Netflix finally gave us the release date for Castlevania Season 3 … and a poster! Trevor Belmont, Sypha Belnades, and Alucard will be back for more bloody action when the new season of Castlevania drops on March 5.

When Netflix revealed the date via their geeked-out NX Twitter channel, they gave fans a taste of what they can expect in Season 3 with a new poster.

The poster was created by Castlevania series director Sam Deats. He serves as a Creative Director at Powerhouse Animation, which animates the series along with Frederator Studios.

Based on the classic Konami video game Castlevania, the animated series premiered on Netflix in 2017 and won over both fans and critics. The first season earned a 90% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Not bad for an animated series based on a 1986 video game.

Castlevania’s success can be found in its magical mixture of story, acting, and animation. The highly-stylized animation is based on Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (released in 1997). The art was developed by Japanese artist Ayami Kojima, who went on to create art for eight games in the Castlevania franchise.

Vlad sits on his throne in Netflix's Castlevania

Now that Vlad Dracula Tepes is dust, it will be interesting to see where the series goes from here. The ending of Season 2 provided several loose threads to pull on with Isaac, Hector, and Carmilla still running loose. Well, actually, Hector isn’t running loose since Carmilla enslaved him, but you get what I mean.
