A new line of highly detailed G.I. Joe action figures is on its way from Hasbro. The first wave of the G.I. Joe Classified Series is scheduled to release around July 1 with five highly articulated, six-inch scale figures with premium detailing. You gotta see the pictures below.
The first wave includes Duke, Scarlett, Snake Eyes, Roadblock, and Destro. Each comes with the appropriate weapons and kit a G.I. Joe fan would expect. Snake Eyes is loaded for action with seven accessories including katana, knife, silencer, pistol, and a machine gun that looks like it was issued by the Colonial Marines.
I spoke with a representative of Hasbro’s PR team who said, “The G.I. Joe Classified Series line of actions figures captures the pulse-pounding excitement of G.I. Joe. This line explodes into a larger-than-life era with brand new figures, evolving classic characters fans know and love into a highly articulated 6-inch scale with premium deco and details.”
Modern Design and Custom Artwork
The G.I. Joe Classified Series figures have a modern design without sacrificing their classic designs. For example, Snake Eyes, the legendary ninja-commando comes ready for action with multiple points of articulation so he’s highly poseable along with accessories inspired by his rich history, including the ninja’s signature katana.
Each character’s box comes with collectible packaging with custom art by various artists in Hasbro’s artist partnership program. The artwork for Snake Eyes packaging was created by Tracie Ching. The Hasbro Pulse site lists the artists on each of the figure’s respective product pages.
The G.I. Joe Classified Series figures will be available from most major toy retailers and are available for pre-order on Hasbro Pulse and Entertainment Earth.
